The Santa Clarita Public Library is hosting a free digital photography class for community members to learn how to take professional-type pictures on Saturday, Oct. 27, from noon to 2 p.m. at the new Old Town Newhall Library, located at 24500 Main Street.

Participants will learn how to take better photographs using proper composition and lighting for a phone or digital camera.

“This class is a great way for photography enthusiasts of all skills levels to learn, share and grow in their ability to capture images and create unique forms of art,” says Mayor Frank Ferry.  “The Santa Clarita Public Library is excited to host workshops like this as a way to introduce community members to its specialty events and unique programming offerings.”

To participate in the free digital photography class, community members must register online at www.santaclaritalibrary.com. The class is free and open to the public.
